BAFTA TV Awards 2019 worst dressed: Which stars missed the mark on the red carpet?

Some of the stars behind the UK’s most-loved TV shows of 2018 and 2019 gathered at Royal Festival Hall in London for the TV Baftas. The famous faces donned their most glamorous ensembles for the prestigious event, but some of the outfits sadly missed the mark. From clashing colours to unflattering designs, many of the outfits seen last night were eye-catching for all the wrong reasons. Worst dressed on the night included Megan McKenna and Jennifer Metcalfe.

While some may have loved Megan McKenna’s ruffled number, it won’t have been for everyone.

The floor-length gown was made with pale pink and yellow tones, and had been embellished with jewel detailing.

She teamed it with a pale blue box bag.

Jennifer Metcalfe otped for a yellow suit which had a floral print.

Clearly looking to create a more unusual version of a deconstructed suit, she teamed it with a white shirt, and an undone bow tie.

Derry Girls actor Saoirse-Monica Jackson continued the sheer theme, which had been spotted elsewhere on the red carpet.

This cream mini-dress had a sheer panel at the top, and featured a tiered design.

That’s not all, as this ensemble had also been adorned with a floral feature.

Jamie-Lee O’Donnell arrived at the event in a blue midi dress which varied in shade.

The ruched dress fell to the floor, and a dip hem cut saw the fabric trail behind her.

The more out-there dresses may not have been to everyone’s taste, but which stars stunned with their outfit choices tonight?

Keeley Hawes looked fabulous as she arrived in a bardot gown which billowed around her.

Meanwhile, Clara Amfo rocked a sheer panelled mini dress.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, there was one dress which stood out for a very unusual reason.

No doubt winning the award for the most unexpected dress, Daisy May Cooper arrived in a gown made out of bin bags.

She told journalists at the event that the statement piece had been designed by her mum, and that money she would have spent on a dress was instead donated to a food bank.
